Samuel Sosono

I was elected President of Malawi/Mozambique Advent Christian Conference in September 2006. From that time I have traveled in Malawi and Mozambique every month preaching in and planting churches. During the past 5 years I have managed to plant18 churches.

My resident church is The New Hope Advent Christian Church in Nsanje district. New Hope is the headquarters church and has a membership of more than 350. The membership of our conference is 3,000 Christians.

I was born at Nkuziwaduka village, Traditional Authority Ngabu, Nsanje District, Malawi. I was born and raised in a Christian family and my dad was a pastor.

I did my Primary and Secondary school classes from 1990 to 2000. During my Junior Secondary School examination, I earned grade A in Bible Knowledge and credit in the Malawi School Certificate of Education in the same subject.

I became a member of the Advent Christian Church in 1999, the time it was founded in Malawi. I have served as Sunday school teacher, leader of youth evangelism ministry, church secretary and choir patron. I never went to any theological college but I am praying for this. I would like to study more.

In 2006 my wife Diana and I were blessed with a baby daughter Miracle.

Here in Nsanje, we have a council of Pastors of different denominations which is called Pastors Fraternal. I am serving as a zone secretary for Nsanje south and am an executive member of Malawi Inter-Faith Aids Committee in Nsanje district.

Our mission statement is based on Matthew 19:28 - “To go and make disciples of all nations''.

My favorite verse is Psalm 139:1-6 - "Lord you know me, my journeys, the place where I rest, all my ways. Such knowledge is too wonderful to me...”
